Financial Aid by location

Established in 2023 by Faisal Abdulaziz Almogren (MUP ’16) and Nawaf Bin Ayyaf Almogren (MDes ’22), the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students enrolled in the Master in Urban Planning, Master in Real Estate, Master of Architecture in Urban Design, or Master of Landscape Architecture in Urban Design programs, with a first priority for students from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, second priority for students from the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, or Qatar, and third priority for students from Jordan, Palestine, Sudan, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, Somalia, Libya, or Algeria.

Established in 2008 by family and friends in memory of Mr. Macy DuBois (MArch ’58), the fund provides financial aid for GSD students from Canada.

Established in 2023 by Robert A. Ho (COL ’77), the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students from the Philippines, Hong Kong, or the People’s Republic of China.

Established in 2018 by the Horne Family Charitable Foundation on behalf of Bridget Colman and Mark M. Colman (AB ’83, MBA ’87), the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students from Canada.

Established in 2014 by John K. F. Irving (AB ’83, MBA ’89) and Anne Irving Oxley in honor of their father, Jack Irving, the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students from Canada.

Established in 2020 by Carrie Alice Johnson (MArch ’93), in honor of her parents, John and Etta Johnson, the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students with the aim of opening access and expanding opportunities for underrepresented members of the GSD community who are from the United States.

Established in 2004 by Geoffrey Le Plastrier (MArch ’75), the fund provides financial aid for GSD students who are Australian citizens and graduates of accredited Australian universities with a degree in architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, or urban planning.

Established in 2024 by the Lodha Philanthropic Foundation, the Justice Guman Mal Lodha Scholars Program provides fully funded financial aid for three or more students from India who are enrolled in the Master in Real Estate, Master in Design Engineering, Doctor of Design, joint degree programs with other schools at the University, or other master’s degree programs at the GSD (in this order of preference).

Established in 2023, the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students from the People’s Republic of China who are studying architecture.

Established in 2018 by Nipsea Management Company in honor of Gennosuke Obata, the company’s fourth president, the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students with a preference for students from Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, or Vietnam.

Established in 2023 by Chien Chung Pei and Li Chung Pei, the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students with a preference for students from China enrolled in the architecture program.

Established in 2000 by friends and family in memory of Peter R. Rice, the fellowship provides full tuition support for up to two GSD students from Ireland in the Department of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or Urban Planning and Design.

Established in 2004 by alumni and friends in honor of Peter G. Rowe, Raymond Garbe Professor Emeritus of Architecture and Urban Design and former dean of the GSD, the fund provides financial aid for GSD doctoral students from East Asia.

Established in 2019 by the STOA Foundation and Chao-Chiung Lee (AMDP ’09), the fund provides financial aid for GSD international students in the Master of Architecture program.

Established in 2025 by Hailim Suh (MArch ’91), the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students from South Korea studying architecture, as a first preference, followed by students from South Korea studying landscape architecture or urban planning and design.

Established in 2014 by Tadashi Yanai, founder of UNIQLO, the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students in the Master of Architecture program who are from Japan.

Established in 2023 by Siddharth Yog (MBA ’04), the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students from India.
