Florian Idenburg, “To Be Determined”
Florian Idenburg, associate professor of practice, will discuss the work of SO – IL, the award-winning New York-based architectural design firm in which he is a founding partner (with Jing Liu). Since its inception, SO – IL has worked on projects ranging in scale from a series of prints for the Guggenheim Museum to a master plan for a cultural campus in Seoul. Their rigorous approach has brought recognition from the MoMA PS1 Young Architects Program and the AIA NY New Practices Award, among other honors. SO – IL has been featured in international publications and their work has been exhibited at several venues, including the Guggenheim Museum, the LA Forum for Architecture and Urbanism, the Art Institute Chicago, the Stedelijk Museum, and at RISD, in the recent exhibition Forecast.
