Drake Pusey
Lecturer in Architecture
Drake Pusey specializes in building relationships based on empowerment, with almost 30 years of experience cross-pollinating ideas and practices from diverse industries. After working in app development, product management, and in brand, digital, and traditional marketing agencies, Drake founded Volition Project in 2014 to help brands empower their customers.
Drake studied design in the Visual and Environmental Studies department at Harvard (now the Department of Art, Film, and Visual Studies) with the original intention of becoming an architect focused on ergonomic workspaces. However, the first commercial web browsers were invented when he was a freshman, and he ported his architecture fundamentals into the digital space. The architecture of information and experiences continues to ground his work today.
As a mentor at the Harvard Innovation Labs, Drake helps student and alumni entrepreneurs turn inventions into products into businesses by understanding what their customers want to accomplish. He also serves as a Human Rights Commissioner in Arlington, in an effort to empower people in his community.
