John Gendall is a co-founder of Chapter, a New York-based agency specializing in communications, brand strategy, and business development for designers of the built environment. He is a veteran of design media, having contributed to a range of publications, including Architectural Digest, Architectural Record, The New York Times, and Artforum. He has taught at Pratt Institute, Parsons The New School for Design, and Harvard Graduate School of Design, where he earned a Master’s in Design Studies with Distinction. He serves as co-chair of the AIANY Marketing & Communications Committee and as a member of the GSD Alumni Council.
