Khoa Vu is the founder of Studio KHOA VU, an independent architecture practice based in New York City. The studio operates at the intersection of rational form and embodied spatial experience, exploring spatial typology, tectonic provocation, and the cultural dimensions of sustainability.
Khoa holds a Master of Architecture with Distinction from Harvard Graduate School of Design, where he received the Araldo Cossutta Prize for Design Excellence and the Faculty Design Award. He earned a B.A. in Architecture with High Honors from the University of California, Berkeley, and was awarded the Eisner Prize, the university’s highest recognition for creative achievement in the arts.
His professional experience spans socially driven urban housing and cultural institutions at Michael Maltzan Architecture to long-term, research-based innovation at OXMAN. Khoa’s work has been recognized by international platforms including the WAF 40 Under 40 North America, Lexus Design Award, Venice Biennale, and Architecture MasterPrize, and he has been a featured speaker at AIA International.
