wellness resources

Graduate study at the GSD is both rewarding and demanding, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. The Student Life team is a consistent, approachable resource for support with academic stress, personal challenges, campus navigation, and community-related concerns—we can listen, help you problem-solve, and connect you with other services. To support your well-being, we offer bi-weekly Wellness Wednesday programs that let you pause, reset, and connect with peers, including “De-stressing with Dogs” and sessions on mindfulness, creative breaks, stress management, and community-building.
As a GSD student, you have access to Harvard-wide resources such as Counseling and Mental Health Services (CAMHS), the Center for Wellness and Health Promotion, and TimelyCare, a free 24/7 virtual mental health platform—these services complement Student Life and help you maintain your well-being throughout your time at the GSD.
Supporting physical health is also essential. Harvard Recreation offers gym memberships, fitness classes, and graduate intramurals, and Student Life sponsors free twice-weekly yoga classes in Gund Hall to help you stay grounded and balanced amid studio and coursework.
The following wellness resources are available to the GSD community, and we encourage students to familiarize themselves with them.
