Alumni Survey, December 2005

Message from the Dean

I am very pleased to share the results of our fall 2005 survey of GSD alumni. We did the survey to learn more about the career trajectories of our graduates. Survey respondents graduated as early as 1949 and as recently as 2005.

Selected Highlights
  • GSD alumni give the school high marks for preparing them for their work. Ninety-one percent of alumni employed on a full- or part-time basis say the GSD helped prepare them exceptionally well.
  • A majority of GSD alumni have been publicly recognized for their accomplishments, with 62% saying they have received recognition such as awards or prizes.
  • There is a high correlation between the current work of alumni and their program of study. Four out of five (80%) of employed alumni say their current work is very much related to their program of study at the GSD.
