Daniel Becker

After graduating at the University of Buenos Aires in 1985, Daniel Becker obtained in 1992 a Master Degree in Architecture at the Graduate School of Design (Harvard University). After several years of working together, in 1993 he established the professional firm Becker-Ferrari Studio with partner Claudio Ferrari. BF It’s a firm created to develop projects in the fields of architecture, urban design, and planning.

In 2006, BF Studio together with the firm Estudio Bares, won the First Prize for the Centro Cultural Del Bicentenario a major Performing Arts Complex in Buenos Aires that opened in 2015.  In 2008, both firms founded B4FS office of architecture.

BF, has participated in many competitions at national and international level, winning thirty-three awards, including among others, the First Prize in Miami Biennial + Beach 2003, First Prize in the Competition for the Central Park of Mendoza City (2004), The First Prize for the Post Office Corporate Building (2009), Prize in the Ranking of Professional Excellence Award (2014) in the category of Architecture offices, First Prize SCA/FADEA, built work (2015), First Prize in intervention in works of asset value (2015) and First Prize in Category Urbanism-Work(2015). National Award for Sustainable Architecture and Urban Design 2015 Professional category (2015). In 2014, BF was commissioned through a program of United Nations for the Development, a Cultural Center in a shantytown Villa 31.

At the present, Daniel Becker is a practicing architect, Professor of Architecture and Urban Design at the University of Buenos Aires(2007), Professor of Architecture and Urban Design of Plata University (2015) and Co-Director of the Master of Advanced Architectural Design at the University of Buenos Aires (2015), an elected representative in the “Sociedad Central de Arquitectos”. With his partner, Daniel Becker actively continue to expand their work portfolio.
