Chiara Cavalieri earned her degree in Architecture at the IUAV faculty, Venice, 2008, after a period of study at the FAUP University of Architecture, Porto, Portugal. Between 2008 and 2010 she cooperated with several studios of architecture and urbanism. In 2009 she began her research doctorate, with a period of research study at New York, and in 2012 she was awarded the title of research doctor in Urbanism at the Doctorate School of the Venice IUAV, with a thesis on the design of the impact of climate change on fragile territory, focused on the Veneto Region. She has worked on various research studies under the Department of Urbanism of the IUAV (Prof. Bernardo Secchi, Paola Viganò, Lorenzo Fabian) and participated in the staging of several international workshops. Since 2011 Chiara has carried out research and teaching work within the Project Culture Department of the Venice IUAV and as part of European Postgraduate Master in Urbanism EMU- a joint program among UPC Barcelona, TU Delft, KU Leuven, Università IUAV, Venezia.
